What the science actually shows.
Two extractions. Two compound classes.
Water extraction captures polysaccharides (beta-glucans, proteins). Alcohol extraction captures triterpenes and sterols. A single-method extract loses an entire class of bioactives. Dual extraction is not a marketing term. It's the minimum standard for a complete product.
Fruiting body vs. mycelium
The fruiting body of a mushroom contains 4 to 10 times more active compounds than mycelium grown on grain. Most mass-market products use the mycelium fraction: cheaper to grow, lower in actives, often bulked out with the grain substrate it was grown on.
Crosses the blood-brain barrier
Hericenones and erinacines are the only known natural compounds that cross the blood-brain barrier and directly stimulate Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) synthesis. NGF is essential for the survival, growth, and maintenance of neurons throughout the brain and nervous system.
Proven in a double-blind RCT
In a landmark 2009 Mori et al. randomised controlled trial, patients with mild cognitive impairment who took Lion's Mane for 16 weeks scored significantly higher on cognitive function scales than the placebo group. The benefits reversed when the supplementation stopped.
Repairs the nerve sheath
Lion's Mane promotes remyelination: the repair of the myelin sheath, the protective insulation around nerve fibres. Demyelination is a key mechanism in neurological decline and is associated with conditions including MS and age-related cognitive deterioration.
Activates two brain growth factors
Lion's Mane is one of the only known natural compounds to stimulate both NGF and BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor). These two proteins govern the survival, branching, and repair of neurons. Most neurological drugs target one; Lion's Mane activates both.
The gut-brain connection
Lion's Mane beta-glucans modulate the composition of the gut microbiome. The gut is responsible for producing around 90% of the body's serotonin and 50% of its dopamine. Improving gut microbial diversity directly influences neurotransmitter availability and mood stability.
The same pathway as metformin
Cordycepin activates AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase), the master cellular energy-sensing enzyme. This is the same molecular pathway targeted by metformin, one of the world's most prescribed metabolic drugs. AMPK activation increases ATP output, improves insulin sensitivity, and drives cellular repair.
The 1993 World Records
At the 1993 Chinese National Games, female athletes broke 5 world records in long-distance running. The coach publicly credited a Cordyceps-based tonic. WADA launched an investigation and found no banned substances. The performance remains one of the most studied episodes in sports nutrition history.
Delays lactic acid by 20–25%
Multiple peer-reviewed exercise studies show Cordyceps supplementation reduces blood lactate accumulation during high-intensity activity by 20 to 25%. Lactate is the primary driver of the burning sensation that forces athletes to slow down. Delay it, and you can push harder, for longer.
A molecular doppelgänger
Cordycepin's molecular structure is nearly identical to adenosine, the body's primary cellular energy currency and a key signalling molecule. It docks into the same cellular receptors and amplifies the energy signal, which is why its effects on ATP synthesis are so direct and measurable.
Builds more power plants
Cordyceps has been shown to increase mitochondrial density (the number of mitochondria per cell) and improve their efficiency. More mitochondria means more ATP per unit of fuel, and less reactive oxygen species (oxidative waste) produced in the process.
The only bidirectional immune regulator
Most immune supplements are one-directional: they stimulate. Reishi is one of the only adaptogens proven to modulate immune response in both directions: amplifying a sluggish immune system, and calming an overactive one. This makes it uniquely relevant to autoimmune conditions and chronic inflammation.
Sleep through the gut, not sedation
A 2019 study found Reishi polysaccharides improve sleep quality not through sedation, but by reshaping the gut microbiome. The beneficial bacteria enriched by Reishi produce higher levels of serotonin, the direct precursor to melatonin. The effect is downstream, systemic, and sustainable.
130 anti-inflammatory acids
Over 130 distinct ganoderic acids have been isolated from Reishi, more bioactive triterpenes than any other known fungus. Some inhibit histamine release. Others suppress NF-κB, a master regulator of the inflammatory response. This chemical diversity is why Reishi's anti-inflammatory effects are broad rather than targeted.
Slows the cellular clock
Reishi polysaccharides have been shown in cell studies to inhibit telomere shortening, the gradual erosion of chromosomal end-caps that is one of the most reliable markers of cellular aging. Longer telomeres are associated with greater longevity and reduced risk of age-related disease.
Clinically reduces liver inflammation
Multiple clinical trials show Reishi extracts significantly reduce elevated ALT and AST, the primary liver enzymes that signal inflammation and damage, in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The mechanism involves ganoderic acids reducing oxidative stress in hepatocytes.
The world's only approved mushroom drug
Lentinan, extracted from Shiitake, is the only mushroom-derived compound approved as a prescription drug. It has been used alongside chemotherapy in Japan since 1985, registered by the Japanese Ministry of Health. It doesn't kill cancer cells directly. It trains the immune system to identify and destroy them.
Lowers LDL without statins
Eritadenine inhibits a lipid-transfer enzyme responsible for loading cholesterol into LDL particles. In animal models and early human studies, this mechanism has reduced LDL levels by 20 to 25%, through a pathway entirely different from statins, suggesting it could complement rather than replace conventional therapy.
30+ human clinical trials
AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound), derived from Shiitake mycelium, has completed over 30 human clinical trials, more than any other mushroom compound. Studies span immune function, viral clearance, post-surgical recovery, and cancer adjunct therapy. It is the most clinically validated mushroom derivative in existence.
A precision prebiotic
Shiitake's specific polysaccharides function as a selective prebiotic: they feed Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species, the families most associated with gut health and immune regulation, while actively inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria. This is not a passive effect; it actively reshapes microbiome composition.
More complete than most plant proteins
Shiitake contains all 8 essential amino acids, with an unusually high leucine concentration, the amino acid most critical for triggering muscle protein synthesis. Its amino acid profile is more complete than most plant-based proteins and is comparable to egg white in nutritional completeness.

What We Make
Precise Extracts, Not Powders.
We don't make mushroom powder. We make dual-extracted, fruiting-body concentrates: hot water and alcohol extraction to capture the full spectrum of water-soluble beta-glucans and fat-soluble triterpenes. The difference in potency is not marginal. It's an order of magnitude.

Grown in Colombia. Tested Everywhere.
Our mushrooms are cultivated at altitude in Colombia's highland growing regions. Optimal humidity, zero synthetic inputs, controlled from mycelium to harvest. Every batch is then sent to independent third-party labs for potency verification, heavy metals screening, microbial analysis, and pesticide testing before it ships.
